Eravikulam National Park
Eravikulam National Park is 97 sq. km. in extent, situated along the crest of the Western Ghats in the High Ranges of Idukki district of Kerala state, India.
The Park holds the largest viable population of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocrius). Apart from tahr, the Park is the abode of other little known fauna such as Nilgiri marten, ruddy mongoose,small clawed otter,dusky striped sqirrel etc

Periyar National Park
Periyar national park is situated in the Western Ghats. It spans two districts Idukki and Pathanamthitta. Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the 27 tiger reserves in India. Periyar Tiger Reserve is a part of it. The terrain of the Reserve is undulating and the drainage is dendrite. North-eastern boundary of the Reserve is a ridge, which also forms boundary between Kerala and Tamil Nadu states for 90 km.

Silent Valley
This silent valley national park is located in the Western Ghats and comes under Palakkad district. It is also called as Sairandhrivanam (the forest in the valley).
The park which is remote has difficult terrain and is surrounded with Attappadi Reserve Forests in the east, and vested forests of the Palghat and Nilambur divisions in the west and south. In the North, the park is an extension of the Nilgiri Forests. The park which has never had human habitation is in the core area of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
